A long poem that summarizes the life I lead


A long path of life,
I thought I'd traverse alone.
One fine day, I saw you,
my heart started racing.
I preserved you in my heart and as time passed by,
I realised that I'm in love with you.


At every phase of life,
I realised your presence.
Though not physically,
I shared everything with you.
During moments of distress,
you just smiled and I used to forget everything.


I wanted to say "I love you",
but was afraid, that you'd deny me.
I concealed my love,
thought I'd convey when I become worthy enough.
I waited for some time,
poured my heart out and wrote to you.
unfortunately and unknowingly,
you thrashed my compilations.


I waited and waited,
and finally decided to propose to you.
I heard from unauthentic sources,
mislearnt your feelings for me.
Suddenly life was all gloomy,
felt as if everything was snatched away from me.


It was like a winter,
such a pale white snow, trees all worn
My heart was in anguish,
but I tried to conceal to this world, my lonliness and pain.
At that time, you answered a faint wish,
good grief, You heard a far away cry of this broken heart.


It must have been meant to be,
because at that time, everything in my world looked fresh.
Winter became spring, hopes turned high
Above all the colorful flowers was the bright blue sky
Green sprouting trees, Loud and upbeat melodies.
all the gloomy days,
somehow seemed to fade away
You changed my life,
and the way I looked at it.


And then I thought,
this long journey, we could walk together.
You talked to me, I felt very happy,
I started dreaming about you again.
But, you told me that it was too late,
and you found your man!


I was left with tears in my eyes,
But I had to control it, before it created the 6th ocean!
I realised that all those pleasures were ephemeral,
I was thrown into that valley of lonliness again.
I'm a big failure with a broken heart,
Life's never going to get better!


In the due course, I realised some facts.
True happiness cannot be felt,
without being love with someone for a long time.
And true pain cannot be felt,
without losing someone we are in love with.
Being fortunate or unfortunate, I could feel both of them!

Somehow, deep in my heart,
I still have this feeling,
Mine is a deep love and Im very sincere,
One day you'll be mine,
and you'll be happy forever.

Sounds a little foolish,
and too selfish on my part,
to be true, I still love you,
thinking about you
and the change you brought in my life!

Oh my beautiful angel,
I love forever and ever!

High atop the mountain cliff
I and my friend stand

watching the vast empire that we built
so high we are that we touch the clouds

we see that people are happy
and there is peace all over

gone are the discriminations among people
gone is the hatred for each other

there's only one race, one creed,
one strong feeling of equality

there's none who is needy
people can support themselves and lead a rich life

those who work hard get all they deserve,
and the others watch them with a gape

people are happy about their existence and life,
they lead happy lives till the end of eternity.

we recollect the perseverance, hard work that we put in,
and realise that all that got paid off!

Nostalgia -- A visit to home

In the form of a small poem!

I get thrilled everytime,
when i plan a visit to my home,
this time I planned one,
and came here to stay for a week.

somehow I am feeling different this time,
things are getting changed,
I have become a guest to my own home,
my sweet home where I grew up elder!

I started getting very nostalgic,
those sweet old memories, I always cherish,
tears filled my eyes when i realised,
the parental care which I miss everywhere.

Here days passed by very quickly,
all these thoughts sprang in my mind,
while sleeping in my mom's lap,
but she came to bid me off, its time to leave again!

A few thoughts in frustration!

ONE CLOUDY EVENING I WAS SITTING ALONE AT THE BEACH IN OUR TOWN, GAZING AT THE SERENE WATER AND THINKING ABOUT THE WORLD PEACE, MY LOVE AND WHAT NOT!

SUDDENLY I SAW HEAVY LIGHTENING FOLLOWED BY A THUNDERING SOUND. EVERYONE AT THE BEACH WERE RUNNING AWAY AND I JUST SAT THERE STILL ABSORBED IN MY THOUGHTS.

I WAS INTERRUPTED BY A SOUND AND JUST LOOKED AT THE SKY TO SEE THE GOD!

GOD SAID "SON, DO YOU HAVE ANY WISHES?"

I SAID "OFCOURSE! EVERYONE IN THE WORLD HAS, BUT WHY?"

GOD SAID "I WILL GRANT THE ONE YOU WISH MOST"

I WAS SURPRISED AND THOUGHT I WOULD ASK SOMETHING BY WHICH THE WORLD COULD BE BENEFITED

I SAID "WORLD PEACE, GOD"

GOD SAID "THAT IS SO DIFFICULT THAT IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO BE GRANTED. DONT YOU HAVE ANY OTHER WISH, SON?"

I SAID "WELL!" AND TEARED MY HEART OPEN AND SAID

"GOD, I LOVE THIS GIRL. PLEASE MAKE MY LOVE A SUCCESS"

GOD GAVE AN ODD LOOK AND SAID

"WELL! LET ME TRY WORLD PEACE"

naa janein kaise, meri ankhein khul gayi,
mujhe akhele chodke tu dooor chali gayi!

ab tum mujhe nazar nahi aati ho,
mujhe na pata kya galti ho gayin hain mujse,
dooor ho raha hoon main tujse,
ab tu mere dil mein nahin rahti ho kasamse!

na tujhe bhula sakhoon,
na tere barein mein soch sakoon,
ab dil mein koyi iradha nahin hain,
tujhe bhool jayein vahi sahi hain!

A journey in a train

It was an early morning, I just woke up in the train and started looking outside. My thoughts went this way..

Last time I remember,
travelling in the same train,
I had waken up early in the morning,
to see the lush green meadows nearby.

I had felt the freshness of the morning air,
with the warmth of your thoughts in my mind,
I had forgotten all the past,
stopped worrying about the future for the moment!

This time at the same place,
all the greenery disappeared.
The place is all bald,
with all the dead plants around.

I felt the same dryness in my heart, without your presence.
But so strong are the seeds of love,
you had planted in my heart,
I tried to root the plants out but in vain!

Ten long years passed by,
but thine image in my heart did not fade.
I must be in a trance,
when you were snatched away from me.

we were never physically together,
but atleast you were in my heart always.
Now, I don't see you, don't feel you,
Did i lose you, or you left me forlorn?

Do not ask me why,
better ask yourself,
because my heart pains,
and I prefer not to answer!

A small poem on my dreams

I have poured my feelings out,
expressing my lamentation over my failure,
but still during nights,
I dream of you.

Not those dreams,
where you would entice me,
and i would get mesmerized, by thine beauty,
a mere obsession, as if none is around.

Now in my dreams,
i see you going away from me,
you dressed like a beautiful bride,
on a horse with your man, bidding me farewell

you look very happy with your man,
the one who snatched you of me.
I just stare at you in a melancholy mood,
wishing you a very happy life ahead.

But still i cannot help myself,
shouting out your name in my dreams,
saying I love you,
I love you forever and ever,

I suddenly wakeup with tears in my eyes,
to find myself alone in an air packed room,
I just lay there moaning in agony,
still haunted by your thoughts!

I was near you,
when you were playing in the woods,
but you did not see me

I was with you,
and cried along with you when you were in agony,
but you did not see me

I was with you,
smiling along with you, sharing your happy moments,
but you did not see me

I was with you,
consoling you in the moments of distress,
but you did not see me

Even now, I am with you,
sharing every moment of your life,
but still you do not see me

I will always be with you,
like your shadow throughout your life,
but I am sure you will never see me
